Who We Are

Ditswammung Savings and Credit Cooperative Society is a member-owned cooperative delivering practical, trustworthy financial services to our community. We help members build savings, access affordable credit, and grow resilient livelihoods through transparent governance and tailored support.

Established in 1998 and regulated under the Cooperative Societies Act, we combine professional financial management with cooperative principles — prioritizing member value, financial inclusion, and capacity building.

Society membership is restricted to the common bond: being an employee of Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB), an employee at Debswana or DBGSS, or working within Plot 63016, Block 8, Gaborone. Specific eligibility criteria, share capital requirements, and member obligations are detailed in the Society's membership regulations.

Background

Since its establishment in 1998 and registration under the Cooperative Societies Act (Cap 42:04), Ditswammung Savings & Credit Cooperative Society has supported members by mobilizing savings, providing affordable credit and administering welfare programs. We channel collective member savings into responsibly-managed lending that advances household and small-business resilience.
